I understand this is the way to get acquainted, socialize, and date now. I am an active 74-year-old who retired early after 38 years in public education to be a caregiver for my wife, who passed away 14 years after being diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s.

Despite challenges and disappointments, I recognize that the Lord has been very kind to me. My faith and commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ are paramount. My background includes:
• Growing up on a small farm in Idaho.
• Serving a mission to Illinois and Iowa.
• Spending 5 summers on US Forest Service fire lookout towers while working my way through college.
• Graduating from BYU with a degree in mathematics education.
• Working 5 years in Idaho and 33 years in Oregon as a math/computer teacher and school district administrator.
• Living 9 years in Michigan as a caregiver.
• Moving to Utah in 2020 after my wife passed away.

Among my greatest blessings are 2 daughters, their husbands, and 4 grandchildren. I am passionate about family, serving others, family history/temple work, and continuing to learn.

I’m not oblivious to the limitations of old age, but embrace the philosophy that good memories are better than bad ones - as I endeavor to be responsible and create good memories.
