Me describiría a mi mismo como
I'm getting old....at least, this is the oldest I've ever been but I have been working so hard at my job and raising a son and tending to my home and all, I find I have left me out. I'm like you. This is not comfortable, but remember, it wasn't uncomfortable 35 years ago either. It was just expected of us.
Now we've live a lot of our lives and some of it we messed up on....some other things were put upon us. We have kids, maybe grandkids too. We have wrinkles and midlife pounds that life sent to us naturally. I'm here to judge your heart...not your hairline or body or income. I'm hoping you have the same insight and have laid aside all of your "demons" and bad habits and can think clearly now about the eternal future. I don't want to be alone growing older. I'm hoping to find a true companion. But I've been on my own long enough,I know what I bring to the table and I know I can handle it alone...but that's no way my first choice! It's not how I'm wired up and I know that.
I'm just going to try this for a little while to see what happens. I'm a very, VERY down to earth person with simple goals and lifestyle. I am a Midwesterner by birth and a Utahan now but I still have lots of Midwestern in me....honesty, simplicity, hard work, courage, honesty (did I mention that already?)...humility, intelligence, common sense - all things I strive for in my own life and look for in others.
I love my quiet evenings at home. I love my dogs...I have always loved dogs and always will. Dinner with family and friends as often as we can manage it and just enjoying life.
I may think of more later but that's the gist of it.
Please don't be afraid to say hello and give us the opportunity to be friend, at least!
