I love to eat great food and therefore, I love to cook and bake. Experimenting in the kitchen like a mad scientist with a new recipe is one of my favorite activities. I am in search of flavors and nutrition that have been tossed and lost over the years with pre-packaged and prepared food. I have successfully duplicated the recipe for oreo cookies and other things. Baked goods are my weakness and truly the way to my heart.

I don't lie steal or cheat and don't associate with those who do. Others tell me, I'm a hard worker and that I relentlessly serve others. I don't think I do enough. Like most of us, I always think about those missed opportunities.

I live on a remote farm in the middle of a very large national forest. I can grow all my own food, and live a relatively self sufficient lifestyle but do have luxuries like indoor plumbing and electric. My garden is big and can be bigger. I love my farm animals and they love me. I wouldn't describe myself as a prepper but I'm not far from it.

I am very mechanically inclined. I have been called gifted in that area and professionally trained. Creativity is also one of my many talents. I love crafting, woodworking, metal work, building anything and especially restoring old relics to better than new. I have a small but ever present antique addiction. I can admit I have a problem but I'm not ready to go into any kind of recovery yet.

I say what I mean and mean what I say. I never have any hidden messages or intentions in what I say or don't say. I never will figure out someone else's hidden intent either but some folks like to test that inability from time to time.

I'm not into fashion and don't consider the clothes people wear, the cars we drive or the houses we live in, a measure of personal worth or value. They are tools we use in our lives. I have changed all of them several times in my life and expect to continue to do so in the future, especially my clothes. I change my clothes regularly and sometimes several times a day in summer living on a farm. I don't mind if someone else tells me how they want me to dress either. I grew my mustache at the request of a child, but it can go away just as easily. I kept it because my youngest daughter says I grew it to embarrass her and I don't want her to feel like I've forgotten about her. Besides, the little kids love it.

I rarely get upset or mad and most folks wouldn't know if I was. I am a very optimistic person. I don't waste time holding grudges, getting even, or doing anything to hurt anyone else intentionally. The lord has said that we should love one another including those who hurt us, even our enemies. Grudges, revenge and malicious intentions are not of the lord.

I have been told that I am very romantic but from my point of view, I'm just opportunistic and sometimes just trying to be funny. I don't understand why girls laugh so hard they cry with really corny romance. Maybe they're just crying because it's so sad. I have been described as the perfect husband more times than I can count by friends and my late wife over the years. I think there is no other way to be.

I think authentic haggis would be it. I haven't been able to find it in the US since not all of the ingredients are available here. Other than that, I have done almost everything I want to do. I just need new wants.
