I'm an RM, working for a small construction company in the south-west US that makes off-grid homes. In the past I've worked on an organic CSA garden, a dairy, and a bakery.
I've traveled a little, to China and Korea (not mission related), and I'd love to do more. I've figured out that I'm not good at traveling alone because I get too anxious to do interesting things. Traveling together is also a great way to gauge a relationship. I watch videos sometimes of couples who go on epic hiking trips together, like walking from Canada to Mexico, or hiking the Appalachian trail. I'm not saying I want to do something like that, but if I find someone I wouldn't mind doing it with, that could change.
I want to buy land and homestead it in the future. The vision is at least 12 acres, hopefully more, with nothing to get in the way of the sky. I want to build my own house with the skills I'm acquiring now, and eventually make it into a paradise with animals and books and plants. I want to have kids, and maybe foster kids one day even though I know it can be heartbreaking.
Right now I'm the YW president at my ward, and I have a Stake calling on a YSA committee. I haven't been to any higher education because I'm terrified of debt, and of failing, if I'm being totally honest. Besides, most of the knowledge I want to pursue is available in other places.
I want to be led by the Spirit to find a man that will be my best friend. I want to go to the temple with him. I want him to be funny, intelligent, and CALM. Be slow to anger and quick to communicate. Agree with me that there is never any reason to be cruel.
Be capable. I find that sexy, and besides, if I'm going to build a house I'm going to need your help to at least maintain it.
Be good with children and with animals. I have a dog, an American Bully mix, and if you don't instantly love him, that's a red flag.
I want to spend time together adventuring, building, gardening, cooking, eating, reading, ...
I want us to strengthen each other, temper each other, and compliment each other's personalities and abilities.
I've tried online dating before and nothing has really come from it, but maybe this will be different. Maybe you're out there.
