Me describiría a mi mismo como
I am interested in finding a loving companion who is energetic, mature, and committed to service in our church. A good statement of my intent is to find an eternal companion with whom we can live on the covenant path. I would love to find someone with musical talent, teaching skills, and a loving heart. A person with interest in nature, experiencing the outdoors, and willingness to camp out or hike is not necessary but would be a delight to find. I am not looking for a skier, mountain climber, or marathon runner, as I am none of those, but it would be wonderful to have an active and healthy companion.
I have grown children, am near retirement, and consider myself healthy and fit. I have served in many church callings, served a mission in France and Switzerland. I have been divorced about a year now, and all my family are either out of the state or passed on.
My hobbies have varied over the years, I currently like to mountain bike, hike, read, and garden. I have pets including fish in a Koi pond, and a miniature poodle named Spike.
I was a convert to the church in my youth, and have researched my family history several generations back on all family lines. I regularly attend the Los Angeles Temple, and serve as the Sunday School President in my Ward.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, but strangely, have worked in the Aerospace Industry most of my career, and have specialized in Materials Science and the field of Component Engineering. I have participated in various Industry committees, traveled widely, authored a few technical publications, and made many technical presentations at conferences.
I love to go on long term backpacking trips, I have been many places in the California High Sierra, the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, Death Valley, and Colorado, and was once serving as an assistant Scout Master.
I like a variety of foods, I know how to cook some things, but am by no means a chef. I perform my own yard and home maintenance, and like a clean and well maintained home.
