I want True Love and High Adventure! I am aware some folks find the idea of true love to be naive, and uncool; but maybe it’s because it’s a high standard, and making it a reality requires endurance and sacrifice. It is an endless work that takes patience to truly enjoy, so I think many people just give up and treat it like “sour grapes.”
I choose lofty goals, but I accomplish them. I try to live deliberately- to balance pragmatism with idealism (thought and action)- practicing the principle of sacrifice for others, and the paradox of losing the “self” to find the best version of the “self.” I have always felt deeply disposed to the renaissance mindset. I know my perfect match will not be a perfect person, but she will likely be my perfect opposite. That’s ideal, since our minds desire infinite learning, we will love discovering the complexities about each other.
I highly value all forms of human connection: intellectual, emotional, spiritual, AND physical. Physical touch is as important to me as connecting through conversation and other means. I value being comfortable communicating our desires, no matter how taboo - (remaining respectful of each other, of course) so that we can cultivate a safe emotional environment and also find new ways to make each other feel good on a daily basis. (I’m talking about macking, and high-fives to be clear). Naturally best friends, we’ll laugh, exercise, learn and love ferociously! We’ll sing together in the car! I can’t wait for our duet to replace my solo bedtime routine of singing into a hairbrush microphone with all of my Lord of the Rings action figures as my fans, neatly arranged on my bed, cheering and screaming my name! If you’ve actually read all this- then I am already very impressed- it is wordy!
Last thing: is it too kinky to ask that we become best friends first? Girls are always trying to rush into making out with me in my car, and I like to take things slow, and talk first.
