I'm slower now but I still like to read, go to movies and dinner, travel and get up close and personal. I've always dreamed of going on a cruise somewhere. I'm chubby, talkative, and opinionated (used to be called conversation). My family has bugged me for a few yrs now to put together a book on our family's genealogy so I will soon start a book with pictures and stories. Right now I have a lot of spare time, but with your help, maybe we can change that.
I've been a widow for 7 yrs and 8 months. I was married to my husband 50 short yrs and only this yr decided to meet someone nice and compatible. My husband was a soldier so we traveled a lot. I retired as a medical secretary/office manager in a cancer research/treatment center in Virginia. I'm from WV, born in Princeton. My daddy didn't want to work the mines so he moved us to Baltimore when I was six. I lived a very sheltered life because my mother was terrified of big city living. I married at 17, right out of high school to a military man and never looked back.
I have 2 adopted daughters and 8 grandchildren who all live in Kansas. I own my own home and I'm very independent.
